Overview

Three cities, three completely different sides of Australia — this ten-day fixed-departure trip moves through Melbourne, the Gold Coast, and Sydney, giving you three nights in each. It's a well-rounded mix: proper city sightseeing, a full day on the world-famous Great Ocean Road, theme park days for anyone travelling with kids (or just anyone who enjoys a good rollercoaster), and enough wildlife encounters — penguins, koalas, kangaroos — to fill a phone's camera roll twice over.

Domestic flights between cities are already built in, along with all transfers, so the only real decision you'll be making day to day is which attraction to hit next. Since this is a fixed departure, it runs on set dates rather than a custom booking window — and it's guaranteed to operate regardless of how many people sign up, so you're not left waiting on a minimum headcount.

Melbourne
+

On arrival, board your coach for the transfer to your hotel and check in. The rest of the day's free to explore Melbourne at your own pace, with dinner at a nearby Indian restaurant to round things off. Hotel: Oaks Melbourne St. Kilda Road or similar Meals: Dinner

Day 2

Full Day Great Ocean Road Tour

Melbourne
+

One of Melbourne's most-loved day trips, and it earns that reputation. You'll head out to Urquhart Bluff for morning tea and some surf-watching, stop at the historic Memorial Arch for photos, then pass through the coastal towns of Lorne and Anglesea. After lunch, the drive continues through the Otway rainforest toward the Twelve Apostles — those famous limestone stacks rising out of the ocean — before wrapping up at the rugged shipwreck coastline of Loch Ard Gorge and Gibsons Steps. Hotel: Oaks Melbourne St. Kilda Road or similar Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3

Melbourne City Tour & Phillip Island Penguin Parade

Phillip Island
+

A guided tour through Melbourne's best-known spots — the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Shrine of Remembrance, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Federation Square, and the city's famous laneways. After lunch, it's on to Phillip Island, where the Koala Conservation Centre and a stop at the chocolate factory lead up to the main event: the Penguin Parade at sunset, where hundreds of little penguins come waddling ashore in what's honestly one of the more charming daily rituals in nature. Hotel: Oaks Melbourne St. Kilda Road or similar Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4

Gold Coast

Gold Coast
+

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to the Gold Coast. On arrival, another coach transfer takes you to your hotel, and the rest of the day is yours to explore on your own. Hotel: Mercure Gold Coast or similar Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5

Full Day Sea World

Sea World
+

A full day at Sea World — dolphin encounters, the SpongeBob-themed boat parade through "Bikini Bottom," the Dora's Best Friends Adventure show, Castaway Bay's adventure playground, and the frozen Penguin Encounter, home to the King Penguin. Between the dolphin show "Imagine" and the sea lion comedy act "Fish Detectives," it's a packed day, and there's plenty here for adults and kids alike. Hotel: Mercure Gold Coast or similar Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6

Full Day Movie World

Movie World
+

Today it's Warner Bros. Movie World — home to some genuinely serious rollercoasters, including the Green Lantern coaster and its record-setting drop. The Star Parade rounds out the day before heading back to the hotel. Hotel: Mercure Gold Coast or similar Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
