Six days is just enough time to actually get to know Mexico City and its surroundings, rather than skimming the surface. You'll spend your days moving between the capital's colonial heart, the ancient pyramids just outside it, and a couple of postcard-worthy day trips to nearby cities that most visitors never make time for. Expect a mix of history, architecture, and a few "wait, people actually built this?" moments — Teotihuacan and Chapultepec Castle both tend to do that to first-time visitors.
The pace is comfortable rather than rushed. Mornings are usually active — a tour, a site visit, a drive out to one of the surrounding towns — and most days wind down with a free evening back at the hotel, so there's room to breathe between the bigger excursions.
